extracting information from a table

I’m looking to get a single value out of a table called tab, my printtable output looks like this:

1:
said =
player = 0
server = 1

how could I extract a value from lets say, server?

YourTableVariableName[1].server

ty

A quick note:

Using the table.key syntax only works if your “key” is a string. For example,
[lua]local t = {
10 = “hello”,
“str” = 85,
label = “world”
}

print(t[10] … t[“str”] … t.str … t[“label”] … t.label) – all have correct syntax
[/lua]

Yeah I found the wiki article after he replied, It wasn’t as easy as I thought a wiki article should be to find.
Thanks
