Fast Download and maps?

Hey guys,

How would I go through with making maps that players don’t have download within my server via fast download? I already compressed the maps and uploaded them to my fast download server and also added the uncompressed maps to my server’s map folders but I was wondering how I would tell the server to make the players download the map on join.

Is it the same as doing


resource.AddFile("")

for other items in a lua file located in lua/autorun/server? Or is there a specific way to do it? I tried before but it didn’t seem to work and gave me the “missing map” error when joining.

Maps are automatically downloaded by clients as long as it’s in the fastdl server. No need to do anything extra.

Ah, what would be wrong if it gives the player the missing map error then?
