First person hands not showing in server

So i’ve setup a server and am applying models through pointshop.

The models are showing up, but the handmodels aren’t.

This is the model lua file.

does anyone know how to make the handmodels showup ingame? currently all that is showing up are the kleiner hands.

The list.Set code isn’t needed, and you don’t need to add the model twice through the player_manager. As for the hands, you can use the function Player:GetHands():SetModel( “whatever hands model here” ) when you equip the item.

so where would the function GetHands be placed?

Would it be in the PlayerSetModel?

No, the OnEquip.

when i code it like this, it give a script error “unexpected symbol near ‘:’”
im not sure where the unexpected symbol is here.

you have spaces surrounding the colon for some reason. remove them.

removing the spaces still gives the same error.

ply:GetHands():SetModel( “models/whatever” )

That’s it.

for some reason, this creates the error "attempt to index global ‘ITEM’ (a nil value), or “item missing name:”

Can you post the whole error and updated code?

the error changes when a player joins…

Can you PLEASE use my exact code I posted earlier and delete the stuff you added?

im not sure where the code should be placed, but when placed here, it gives the error "Attempt to index global ‘ITEM’ (a nil value).

sorry for being so bad at this, im not too familiar with this programming language.

edit: after some server restarts, the error appears to disappear.

thanks for all the help and dealing with a newb on this.

Post the full error, and also, remove the timer.

in case you don’t see the above edit:
