FPS Drops/Freezings

System hardware specs

  • Processor: Core 2 Quad, 2.4Ghz
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Graphics Card: geforce 9800GTX+
  • Operating System: Windows 7

The Problem
I run all source engine (and other) games very well, on high resolution with no fps problems, but when I’m running GMod, even from a clean install with low resolution, I get some random fps drops (from 80/60 to 10, 7), like freezes on the screen. They happens every time I move the view camera, move objects, use weapons, etc…

This started some months ago (this was the reason I’ve stopped playing the game since then)…

Please, help me :S

have a person look at your internal graphics card (or whatever graphics hardware you have installed in your computer) and he/she can dertemin what the problem is i have almost the same problem execpt I get low FPS then the BSoD (Blue Screen of Death), but it only happen when theres a lua error or someone uses the ignite tool…

Gmod is very poorly optimised.

This sort of thing happens to me too (and, from what I gather, a lot of other people).

maybe gmod 12 will be more optimised.

It will come with EP3 and Duke Nuken Forever on the pink box?
