Getting the language with a place holder

Hey I am trying to get the language entry from a place holder. You can set labels with the place holder and the label does it automatically but I need the actual string. I made a work around, but its probably the most retarded work around ever. Please tell me there is a better way.

[lua]
local lblRetaredLabel = vgui.Create(“DTextEntry”)
lblRetaredLabel:SetText("#Tool_" … strSpawnItem … “_desc”)
local strDesc = lblRetaredLabel:GetValue()
lblRetaredLabel:Remove()
[/lua]

BTW this is to get a tool’s description.

I’m afraid not, as there are no functions for translating and we can’t read the language files due to them having some bytes file.Read doesn’t like. :frown:

Damn, maybe the in an update or module someone could add language.Get(). :saddowns:
