A CoD4 Vacant map remake for CSS!

Direction: Extract to cstrike/maps folder or to the Garry’s Mod maps folder.

Credits: Thanks to my friends, Interlopers.net, FPSBanana.com, Half-LifeCreations.com, Nican132.net, and the fans for their support, tips, suggestions, comments, and inspiration.

I’m aware the map isn’t close to the scale of CoD4 but it might be the scale of the two engines are different.

Completed the small storage room
Improved lightmap.
Modified the Pitch Yaw Roll of Light_Environment. (PYR)
Increased brightness and ambient setting.
Tweaked bloomscale, autoexposure min/max.
Replaced crates with ammo boxes.
Finished placing props.
Retextured certain area.
Added more details to building.
Modified 3d Skybox
Decreased the density of the grass.
‘Swaying motion’ is now added for the detail sprites.
Replaced the concrete flooring in main building with different texture to remove reflection.
Added PLAYERCLIP above container to prevent player(s) from camping within the static prop.
Radar Overview Added
Added PLAYERCLIP in upper warehouse- windows level.
Added heap lot of junks and garbage composite.
Randomize props PYR (Pitch Yaw Roll)
Two building left of CT spawns are completed.
Added in random antennas.
Increased the surface arae inside the bathroom
Increased player spawns to 32- 16 for each sides.
Fixed grainy error. (.VBSP-related error)
Sets the START & END fade dist for most props.

  • Nav mesh generated (TO DO)
    Compile under FINAL (-final -both)

As I said, looks awesome.

I added in a map preview for Beta 5. Sorry for terrible music, the lag, and terrible… video. I was recording the video with FRAPS at full setting while several intensive programs running in background.

The final version is bound to be done today, unfortunately me and my friend are unable to to find a way to host the game for extensive testing and video recording to make the better trailer for the map.

D: My grass on this map is purple and black; how do fix this?

I’d like to see a cs_ version of this map.

The current public version doesn’t have radar. The latest version (V8) have radar.

NAV is a navigation mesh for bots.

I’ll upload the map to Gmod.org when Version 8 come out. :slight_smile:
