Gmod crashes from high prop count

Lately I’ve been having having a proplem with crashing.
Sometimes when I’m looking at a high prop count vehicle, my game crashes and just says hl2.exe has stopped responding and shows a cancel button (most of you should know what I mean). There is no fps lag or anything before the crash, it just crashes.
This has only been happening recently. I think maybe I changed a setting (such as a rate setting) and now it has messed up my game and probably overloads it then crashes it.

I play on Sandbox build servers and we pretty much only build vehicles. Some of us build bodies for them too and parent them, the body prop count is usually 150-600 props (to some of you that may sound pretty high, but it’s normal). It still shouldn’t crash my game if the props are parented (which the are) no matter how high the prop count is. It only sometimes crashes my game if the vehicle does something (such as crashes into a wall, spawns, unfreezes, accelerates, etc…)

System specs:
GPU: EVGA Nvidia GTX 960 2GB (not OC’d)
CPU: AMD FX-8350 8 core @4.0 GHz liquid cooled (not OC’d)
RAM: 8GB DDR3 (not OC’d)
OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit
1TB HDD and 250GB SSD (Gmod is on SSD)

I’m pretty sure all my drivers are up to date.
