Gmod custom Playermodel- weird jump animation


I try to create a playermodel for Gmod. It works good, except the jump/lands-animation… If he jump and lands on his feet, sometimes it looks weird.

This is a weird issue with ikchain that I’ve started seeing in GMod13. If you don’t know what this is, it’s basically what helps align the character’s feet to the ground correctly, especially on uneven surfaces. Think of it as a similar system Assassin Creed would use when a player climbs a wall to prevent his hands from just casually flying inside the wall.

Anyway, if you’re moving really fast when you land, your feet will stick to where you landed while your body is still moving until the land animation is completed. If you’re sprinting and jumping around and that’s what’s happening, you’ll probably notice that on any model.

The character’s feet are on the ground correctly…
I used XSI 6 for rigging the model.

ikchain… no I don’t know what this is exactly, but in my mdldecompiler.qc I have this:
$ikchain rfoot ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Foot knee 0.707 -0.707 0.000
$ikchain lfoot ValveBiped.Bip01_L_Foot knee 0.707 -0.707 0.000

Should I change the values?

EDIT: I found the problem… in the mdldecompiler.qc I had the barney animations (for npc), but for a player model you have to put only $includemodel “m_anm.mdl”.
