Gmod vs Website

When i am seeing the same page through gmod, it looks ugly, but in firefox it looks fine? It is simply a paragraph tag that god some font weight styles in.

local RulesWindow = vgui.Create( "DHTML", Frame)
RulesWindow:SetPos(112, 174)
RulesWindow:SetSize(1705, 846)

<!DOCTYPE html>
	<title>MSD Home</title>
	<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
	<link rel="shortcut" href="images/favicon.ico" />
	<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="stylesheets/style.css" />
	p.normal {
		font-weight: 300;

	p.light {
		font-weight: lighter;

	p.thick {
		font-weight: bold;

	p.thicker {
		font-weight: 900;

<p class="normal">This is a paragraph.</p>
<p class="light">This is a paragraph.</p>
<p class="thick">This is a paragraph.</p>
<p class="thicker">This is a paragraph.</p>

What part of gmod are you talking about? Menu? Loading screen? Lua Panels?

Also posting code would be helpful so people can reproduce it quickly.

Okay i have posted the code now

Probably something with awesomium in Gmod being from the 1940s or the meh web browser Steam provides. Probably nothing you can really fix.

Your best alternative is derma if possible.

It could be an antialiasing issue either with gmod or awesominium? (Don’t quote me on this though, it’s just a guess).

Gmod can’t render image data with premultiplied alpha. Awesomium has that.

If you want nice looking text, don’t use a transparent HTML panel.

But other sites works perfectly. See here

Now i finally understood what Willox was saying. The solution was to make the body have a background color of white.
