So I play rust on my desktop and laptop. Desktop blows it away but always have to squeeze performance out of the sliders on my laptop.
I’ve noticed that trees no longer sway when (I think) you lower the graphic quality enough. Not sure when that was implemented but it has helped my fps a lot. My question is why can’t the grass stay static on a lower setting as well? In the desert/snow biomes I get from 20-35 fps for the most part, but in total grass areas (no trees even) my fps plummets to around 10-15. Pretty sure it has to do with the draw calls for the grass swaying in the wind.
Haven’t hopped on the dev build to see what they recently changed with grass (sorry!).
