Hammer editor scale

Greetings. I built a door in Blender 3d, and compiled it. The measurments for the door came from me measuring my own bedroom door. Once it was in hammer, it looked smaller then it should. All of the npc characters looked large compared to the door.

My door measures about 7 feet 3 inches.

How can I make sure that objects in Blender are the correct size in hammer?

I’d recommend decompiling a door model from HL2, loading it up in Blender and scaling your door to the size of that one.

I’d always wondered how people would have gotten around this problem.

What does hammer translate blender units into? So far I been treating blender units as inches.

there should be an option to change the units in Blender, there has to be (3dsMax and Maya have it)
