So VBSP is throwing this error when I try to compile using the _hdr version of the skybox: **** Error: Skybox vtf files for skybox/sky_day01_08_hdr weren’t compiled with the same size texture and/or same flags! *
It seems that there are 2 different versions of the HDR skybox textures, and the VMT files are pointing to the wrong set. So I pointed them at the other set and the map compiles now, but it looks like this in game:
Anyone know how to fix this? XD
It’s a really simple idea but do you have HDR enabled?
Yup; mat_hdr_level = 2
If it was disabled, the engine would just use the LDR version of the skybox, which still works just fine.
What does the up vmt look like?
Compared to the other ones that work, it looks as I would expect; effectively transparent in VTFEdit, but with the mask off, a really over-saturated skymap.
Doh, turns out the VMT is actually pointing to the wrong version of the LDR textures, not the HDR, I have it working now XD
