[HELP] map transitions?

hello everyone. I had a quick question. Is it possible to make a map change from day to night without having it switch to a whole new map every time?

I wan’t to have a map be on a time system where it changes from day to night on a loop. Preferably on flatgrass and or a custom map that I can make.

The map will most likely need some certain entities in it, but it is possible.

is it possible someone could give me a guide on how to do this or some help

You either need to:
a) Recompile the map with different lightmaps for day/night. This is quite tricky, I think you might want to ask Sgt. Sickness on how he did it in his latest Evocity maps. After you have it compiled with different light maps, you will need to fire FadeToPattern (or something) input on the light_environment entity to change the light.

b) Use color modifiers (Or what ever they are called), take a look at weather mod, and develop from there. Just take notice, that EVERYTHING is going to be darker with color modifiers.
