Help needed skeletal animation/scripted sequence glitch.

This is probably super simple for someone that knows, but since I am totally new to sequences and animation I am a little unsure what’s wrong. At the start of the animation the character sort of bops or pops down and up within the first few frames, clipping into the floor.

I would also like to know if I am going the right way about this, is it ok to make the entire animation in one hit. So far he does successfully walk to the stairs, hop on, climb down, hop off and stand there ready for whatever it next.
