Help with DX11 Texture Decompression

I realize this isn’t exactly modeling but it goes hand in hand with it, i’m attempting to decompress a BC7 DDS texture for a model, and almost all resources out there are not user friendly I was wondering if anyone had a good resource for me to use or even a program handy, thanks. If this topic is too far away from modeling i’ll gladly remove it at request.

what is user friendly? what tools you tried? things i know/have is visual studio (it’s large), there’s a source for the directxtex tool from microsoft, or i used texgenpack to decompress some swbea textures. i can’t remember what format they were tho.

I tried texgen but im just shit with using it. Also idk if it is the tool or the DDS i extracted.
