HEXing problem.

Good time of day.

I want to make HEXED player model by that information http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=Model_hex and http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=395931 but I always have a problem.

By that tutorial I want to make same playermodel but with other texture. After process I have problems:

  1. Game crashes when loading icon in Browser.
  2. No textures.

Yeah I know best way is compiling and decompiling but with that I’m dissapointed. When compiling I have those problems in process:
"too many normals in “male_07_reference.smd” (vertexes is okay not more that 2000).

Dear members please help with that problem, really want to know how to port models in Source Engine.

By 1st method, be sure that everything is done as tutorial says.

Compiling ragdolls is pain in the ass, so it’s not the best way to hex.

Also, I think that hexing ragdolls in HEX editor is crappy too.
