Hl2.exe error when starting gmod

  • Processor - AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core
  • RAM - 2GB
  • Graphics Card - Nvidia 8500 GT
  • Operating System - XP 32 bit

When ever I launch gmod, It starts to load but then after a little bit it crashes and gives me an error,

When I look at the error report it holds this as responsible for the crash C:\DOCUME~1\Marine\LOCALS~1\Temp\7138_appcompat.txt

I’ve tried to delete the file, see if another program would replace it but no luck. It just comes back.

Any idea what it could be?

You pirated the game. Buy it.

No I didn’t I payed friggin’ 10$ for it from steam, and I dought they sell their own pirated games.
