How do I host a LAN for GMod?

I go thru the basic steps of setting it up, selecting create new server, checking the LAN box. But no one can see my game.

Tried everything. Turning off Firewalls. Manually connecting to the ip thru the console. Nothing works.

Any directions?

give them your ip + :27015 (httpp://whatsmyip.com) and tell them to do “connect XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:27015” in console (with that number)

You must have acess to your internet admin. And open up the ports for people to join.

  1. type “ipconfig /all” in cmd(without quotes)
  2. Find defult gateway then type it in your browser

Then get in and open up your ports. Your firewall is probally blocking them.
