How can you recolour skins with paint.net?

I have no idea, When I try, it looks horrible. Any help?

Easily, just keep practicing thats what i use for my skins.

1. Select area you want to change
2. Use the Sepia filter on it
3. Use the Hue/Saturation Adjustment's top 2 bars to color it
4. ???
5. Profit
