This is something I have been pondering about for some time now, (and I’m not that familiar with source modeling and such) and it’s been that way because I’ve seen some great custom models for Left 4 Dead 2. (Mainly special infected mods) The only problem is, some of them break consistency, and most servers have sv_consistency set to 1. Now, I actually have tried my hand at doing so by making custom models based around TF2 Freaks, and all but one of these break consistency. (Sorry for my rather weird rigging.) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=131791580 FYI, the one based around Painis Cupcake is the only one that doesn’t break consistency.
Next time I make a custom model for L4D2, or if I ever decided to revise any of the models I’ve already made, how do I know if a model breaks consistency or not? As I said, This is something I have been pondering about for some time. Any help on this is appreciated.
