How do I limit what information players are exposed to?

I’m talking about things like drawing entities and sending networked variables. Is there anything else that gets sent to players that I can limit? The reason for this is my map consists of two sides, and I only want the stuff on that players side of the map to show for them. It’s not a matter of privacy, but to compensate for any lag that one side receives based on all the activity on the other side of the map.

I hope I worded that well to make sense…

decompile the map then optimize, or even better ask the creator for the map files.
