How do I make a TV Monitor in s2?

I’m trying to make a tv monitor that shows the output of a live camera. I looked through the Alyx .vmaps, but haven’t figured out the correct way to do it yet. The first 5mins of hl:a has a monitor, but my understanding so far is its attached to a .webm instead of an actual scene offscreen.

The old way was a func_monitor tied to a point_camera. I tried that but it crashes when I open the map. What’s the source2 way of doing that?

Check out the map where you get the gravity gloves. It has a monitor in it.

Yeah man. Got it working. Thanks!

It still uses the good old point_camera + func_monitor combo but with vr_func_monitor_clean.vmat as the monitor quad face texture
