How do you forward ports?

Hello thar, Im trying to get my friend into a server, which I have set up and can get into myself, but it doesn’t show up on the list of internet servers on on his friends list thing. We’re thinking I need to forward my ports, but I don’t know how to do that. Im running on the default, 27015. So is there another reason, or do I really need to forward my ports? If so how? Thanks in advance.

Hello, this is kind of a late reply, I hope you’ve already found help but if not, watch this short video

Pending on what type of router you have, its subject to change a little bit. (I.e. certain options might be labeled under something else, or condensed with another option)

Just have your router password handy and this video will help you do the rest. =) Cheers
