How to change NPC animations?

Recently I’ve been working on a PERP server with a few of my coder-friends(read on, before you comment, “Here’s an idea! Stop doing PERP!”), and we’ve come across a problem we’ve never faced before. Every NPC on the map has a “swimming-in-place” kind of animation. I’ve read up on NPC Animations, and learned that you have to do something with modeling or whatever. Not my area of expertise at ALL. Well, none of us have even the slightest idea of where to even GET a program that can do that, much less perform the actual task of changing their animation.

Also, I’ve searched every file in the gamemode, and I could not find anything that set the actual NPC’s animation, but I DID find this, if it’s to any use:

NPC:InitializeAnimation(NPCTable.Sequence);

Below is a screenshot of what every NPC on the map is currently doing.

I’ve been trying to fix this for quite some time now, and could use some guidance to get pointed in the right direction.

If you have any thoughts on how I might go about fixing this, I’d greatly appreciate it.

I’ve always used ResetSequence()
So for example:

local sequence = ent:LookupSequence("Run")
ent:ResetSequence(sequence)

I’ve had small issues with other methods.

It looks like to me those are player models, not NPC models

wow who would have thought that a old leaked gamemode for gmod 12 is broken

Thanks, I’ll try it out as soon as I’m home, and get back to you. =D
