How to get fingerposing for a custom gmod ragdoll?

Does anyone know how to do this? I heard that it’s about the finger names, I renamed one of 2 finger bones of the index finger and thumb each corresponding off of an alyx ragdoll, but ingame the finger posing didn’t work. So how do you get finger posing to work for a custom ragdoll.

You need to name all of the fingers and both hands in line with this nomenclature:
Where “X” is either L or R, and “Y” is “Hand” or “Finger##”
So for a right hand you should end up with:

     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger00 <-- Thumb part 1
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger01 <-- Thumb part 2
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger02 <-- Thumb part 3

     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger10 <-- Index part 1
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger11 <-- Index part 2
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger12 <-- Index part 3

     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger20 <-- Middle part 1
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger21 <-- Middle part 2
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger22 <-- Middle part 3

     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger30 <-- Ring part 1
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger31 <-- Ring part 2
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger32 <-- Ring part 3

     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger40 <-- Pinky part 1
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger41 <-- Pinky part 2
     ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Finger42 <-- Pinky part 3

It should be the same for the Left Hand, but with “L” instead of “R”.
In order for the fingerposer to work, it must find both the left and right hands.
This should also work without the “Valvebiped.” portion, but it’s safest to retain it in the event of another change to the fingerposer.
