How to load a font into gmod

I Have tried putting a dont file in garrysmod/resource/fonts and also in “gamemodename”/gamemode/resource/fonts but it keeps using the defualt font. Even tought the font is set when drawing, The acctualy font it defualt, Any idea why?

Are you creating the font using

surface.CreateFont?

Make sure you are using the actual font name, not the file name. Open the font with the windows font installer and use the name on the top left.

I Have, I tried it with multiple fonts using the font name and the file name and nothing works.
