How to make prop? (problem with VTF & VMT)

Hello!
I think i chosen good forum.
I have problem with last step to final my custom prop - make VTF and VMT files.
I don’t know what I must check in VTFEdit to save working material in VTF format… and I don’t know what i must enter into VMT file. I have this code in VMT:



"VertexLitGeneric"
{
	"$basetexture" "informat/metalparts"
	"$surfaceprop" "metal"
	"$envmap" "env_cubemap"
	"$basealphaenvmapmask" 1
}


I think you can understand my bad english.

You can get the imported material as a .VTF by opening “File” and then choosing “Save As…”
Also, go to “Options” and check “Auto Create VMT File” for easy .VMT making.

Oh and by the way, dont sign your posts. Its bannable.

I dont know much about skinning/modelling, so excuse me, but why do you have to check them?
