I came across a problem with PERP

I got it from Drama Unlimited.

Now mostly we would have to add the SQL data to sv_hooks.lua

However PERP from *gaming goes as follows (sv_hooks.lua):b[lua]function GM:Initialize ( ) Msg("Loading tmysql module… ")
require(“tmysql”)

if (tmysql) then
	Msg("done!

")
else
Msg("failed!
")
end

timer.Simple(1, function ( )
	RunConsoleCommand("sv_usermessage_maxsize", "5000")
end)

RunConsoleCommand("sv_max_queries_window", "20")

self.ServerDateIdentifier = "lite"
if(GAMEMODE.IsSerious()) then
	self.ServerDateIdentifier = "serious"
end

GAMEMODE:InitWeatherLoadStuff()

end
[/lua]

My steam community is to the left if anybody wants to help, and no you will not get Admin or anything special.

tmysql.initialize(host, user, password, database, 3306, 2, 2) on line 9?

I thought that PERP* was based on the mysql module not tmysql.

After putting that line in while changing the respective parts… nothing happened. Tried taking out the T before tmysql on both the Line 9 and the Inclue

Heres what I got in my PERP3.

[lua]
function GM:Initialize ( )
Msg("Loading tmysql module… ");
require(“tmysql”);

if (tmysql) then
	Msg("done!

");
else
Msg("failed!
");
end

tmysql.initialize("Host/IP", "Username", "Password", "Database", 3306, 8, 8) // CHANGE TO YOUR DATABASE INFO

SetGlobalInt("tax_sales", 5)
SetGlobalInt("tax_income", 5)

sendOnline();

RunConsoleCommand("sv_visiblemaxplayers", self.numPlayers);
//RunConsoleCommand("qcache_gamedesc", "Pulsar Effect RP 2");

RunConsoleCommand("sv_max_queries_window", "5");

self.HouseAlarms = {}

SetGlobalInt("tv_status", 0)

end[/lua]

Try this:
[lua]
function GM:Initialize ( )
Msg("Loading tmysql module… ");
require(“tmysql”)

if (tmysql) then
    Msg("done!

")
else
Msg("failed!
")
end

tmysql.initialize("Host/IP", "Username", "Password", "Database", 3306, 8, 8) // CHANGE TO YOUR DATABASE INFO

timer.Simple(1, function ( )
    RunConsoleCommand("sv_usermessage_maxsize", "5000")
end)

RunConsoleCommand("sv_max_queries_window", "20")

self.ServerDateIdentifier = "lite"
if(GAMEMODE.IsSerious()) then
    self.ServerDateIdentifier = "serious"
end

GAMEMODE:InitWeatherLoadStuff()

end
[/lua]

What are those last two values " 8, 8)"

(Also the exact error is: “Refreshing Request for SMFID”

Do you have the correct tables in the MySQL database? Be sure to check that the server is allowed to access the MySQL server, some servers use a whitelist for security.

That happends when the user is not in the SMForums pending users table.

The SMFID error will disappear if the server is correctly connected to the database. There is no SMForums shit in the code (in my version).

On Drama Unlimited they have preset .sql files. They go as following:
“Download Generic PERP3 MySQL
Download Phoenix Dawn SMF MySQL
Download Pulsar Effect PERP1 MySQL
Download Voltage Gaming PERP3 MySQL”

Which should I use? I am currently using Generic PERP3.

If you’re using AG (*gaming) PERPX, then you need a special sql file.

Oh really? I was told to try Wolfcraft so I am trying that… Currently no problems really except a stupid question.

Will files put in the content folder of “gamemodes” be copied over to the root for the websync? or should I copy them over to the root myself?

I’m not sure what you mean by “websync” but if you’re talking about some Fast Downloading sync.

It should sync the files in the content folder. I’ve used SourceRCS and it was able to sync the <gamemodename>/content folder.

Well I fixed the problem…

It was because PERP was on Linux.

Well anyone who can’t get there SMF to work with Perp, I simply made a work around script http://www.hostingalerts.co.uk/clientarea/order.php?step=1&productGroup=19. Even put together an group/bank changer. If anyone is interested in it let me know.
