i downloaded a mod, and now i can't do stuff to the map.

so, i downloaded a mod that made it so that i could do… something, i don’t remember (part of the problem) and the mod said that it will, as a side effect, make it so that you cannot do anything to the map. no welding, no roping, no ball-socketing, no nothing, and for the life of me, i can’t remember the name of the mod.

Prop protection?

Just delete your steamapps/username/garrysmod/garrysmod folder.

Try Assmod, Ulx, or anything with the words ‘prop’ or ‘protection’ in them.

i downloaded none of those things, no assmod, ulx, or prop protection.

Program Files/Steam/steamapps/[username]/garrysmod/garrysmod/addons

And screenshot the content of that folder.

Delete your lua/entities folder. Worked for me. Or clean-up your latest addons.

You have a shitload of addons… I recommend doing this: http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=Cleaning_GMod and then downloading these: http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=16876298&postcount=4

i have so many addons, it would take a good 5-6 hours to get them all back, but i suppose if i can’t figure out what the offending mod is, i’ll do that.

When doing what that link says, you’re not deleting the addons.
