theres a space in your thingy

"sides" "8353 8359 "

It should be “sides” “8353 8359”

There is two question megathreads, why do people always miss them.

If this isn’t your own map, then ask the auther for the vmf, and permission to edit.

It prabably is caused by vmex crashing in the middle of writing to the file.
to load a damaged or incomplete vmf file in hammer you have to complete it yourself,
by opening the file in a text editor and add one or two “}” at the end,
after removing the incomplete entity at the end of the file.
In your case it would look like this. :

"id" "8677"
    "classname" "info_overlay"
    "material" "decals/decalgraffiti027a_cs"
    "StartU" "1"
    "EndU" "0"
    "StartV" "0"
    "EndV" "1"
    "BasisOrigin" "-1465 1025.5 -304"
    "BasisU" "1 0 0"
    "BasisV" "0 0 -1"
    "BasisNormal" "0 1 0"
    "uv0" "-132 -64 0"
    "uv1" "-132 64 0"
    "uv2" "132 64 0"
    "uv3" "132 -64 0"
    "RenderOrder" "0"
    "sides" "8353 8359 "
    "origin" "-1465 1025.5 -304"
}
}

I had this problem when hammer would crash while saving to an vmf file.

Making your own thread, getting an answer, and shifting through the verbal abuse, is better than getting ignored.

What verbal abuse? You might get a few exasperated replies, but no abuse.

Well I could tell you how to fix your problem… but first you need to tell me about Treadstone.
