I would like to know how to do what the title asks.
For custom sounds, what I did was simply put them into ep2/hl2/sounds or something like that (I’m pretty sure I made a custom folder named sounds, because there wasn’t one by default), and it showed up in the sounds list (when searching for a sound with an ambient_generic), and I could preview it correctly, but it wouldn’t work in-game. Something about a sample rate came up in my console.
