Is it possible to reduce screen resolution with Lua?

I’m thinking about making a gamemode which would require a large amount of open space. Because Hammer cannot make the behemoth maps that I want, I have decided to reduce the size and speed of all entities, props, NPCs so it will seem like I have a bigger map.

However, to make this look right, I would have to also decrease the screen resolution. Is there a way to do this with Lua? And is there a way to circumvent the size limit in Hammer?

You don’t need to change the screen resolution, if the player camera position is scaled to be the right height off the ground and everything visible is to the correct scale it should look fine.

You’ll also most likely have to scale the texture scales (heh) to stop the player from seeing really stretched textures
