Okay, is there a tool/plugin/script like this: it checks if the mesh has UV map coords, searches for the certain texture and assigns the texture to the mesh. It would be VERY useful for me.
Well… In Blender if you import *.obj file and when import set options - separate object by obj - by groups (or something like that) then in vertex groups(option on the bottom) you can choose vertex group change model to edit mode and in UV/Image editor add textures with no problem (because UV map settings are save you just must add the right one texture to this vertex group )
