Jigglebones decompiler?

Hello everyone, I try to run the decompiler, as explained here, but i get only a brief appearance of a DOS window and nothing else! (I’m on XP)

someone has an idea?

Installed the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile (Web Installer): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=5765d7a8-7722-4888-a970-ac39b33fd8ab and Visual C++ 2010 (Redistributable Package (x86) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=A7B7A05E-6DE6-4D3A-A423-37BF0912DB84&displaylang=en ?

I think that even for jigglebone decompiling you’ll need to change the DST0 thing to DST,

It’s the way I did to make it work for some TF2 models.

Thank you but I already do all this without success!

But ferdam you say that it works for you? Makes me a favor until I get it to work, gives me the QCI of jigglebones that you get with the models of tribal sheva please!!!

Well, actually, the OP in that thread is explaining that you should just drag’n drop the mdl file to the jiggle_qc.exe program.

If even this doesn’t work, you should try it through the CMD, like the creator of this tool suggested :

I had already seen and tried that, it does not work for me.

Give me the link to the model and I will attempt to do it.

Yeah, that was the next thing I was going to suggest.

I think this pack has her in it

Never mind Its not working for me.

I know that is so stupid, but i don´t remember what i did to fix that ( i think that it was the 2 links that i put, but if don´t work for you, then…).

My decompiler doesn´t work too (lolwut?).

Trying to find the solution.

EDIT: Ok, i get it work with the old way (start->run->cmd, and then go to the folder where is the model and the decompiler and write " jiggle_qcgen.exe nameofthefile.mdl".

Curiously, it give me the error “Version 44 models don´t have Jigglebone data, exiting…”, that explains why pops in and close it very quickly.

EDIT2: Ok i just fix it:

Before open the Orangebox model (.mdl file) in a Hex editor for change the IDST0 to IDST, to can later decompile the model with the MDLdecompiler or the decompiler of StudioCompiler, use the Jigglebone Decompiler first.

Hope that with this everybody can get work their decompilers.

So, worked “my fix”, or continue having problems?

I already knew that! But that still does not work :smith:

For this time, can you just gives me the QCI of jigglebones that you get with the models of tribal sheva please?

Here it is.

Only two models from that pack are jiggleboned, so there are only 2 QCIs.

Many thanks!

Edit: Ho I’m really stupid! it works, the qci file do not appear into the models folder but in the c: \ Documents and Settings / username

Damn dude

Anyway thx a lot for your help :tiphat:

Lol. Well, it works XD

Thanks too for remind me the problem of the window XD
