L4D Sulaco Survival map (Aliens)

One rainy day i was watching Aliens and i thought “That would be a fun map for L4D” so i had quick go at putting something together.

I don’t know if i’ll ever get around to finishing this, but i’ll post my WIP.

Features:
Colonial Marine APC with interior, Top turret can be moved into the stowable position.
Cheyenne Dropship with openable missle pods, retractable gear, ramp, etc.
Airlock - It’s a game ender. Once open everything on the level gets sucked into space.

I know the APC and Dropship are a bit fugly but that’s because i made them out of brushes.
I have 3DS models of the Sulaco, APC and dropship but i don’t know how to get them into source format.

I dont know if i’ll ever release this but the apc and dropship are going to feature in the new version of gm_interplanteryfunk that i’m working on.

I would suggest models though, will look a lot better
for the apc and choppah i mean
definitley need lighting

I’m a massive fan of the movie aliens, and i like your work for far so I have a video which displays the interior of the ship. Are the apc and gunship models?

Cool idea for a map, needs more green funky lighting.

I’m a giant fan of Aliens, and will certainly download this map. But get some better models or whatever for the dropship and APC, and get some lighting in there

As for space and lighting, i can do those better. This map was more of a proof of concept style thing. I wasn’t sure how it would play in L4D - I wasn’t sure if i could make the airlock pull stuff into space. Maybe i’ll make a video if fraps is working. If anybody wants the 3DS files to make them work in source then i’ll upload them. I tried, i failed.

You could use a fuckload of trigger_push’es that drag you into it.
