light envornment wont work, map remains fullbright


i am building a large water map, its coming along great. but for some reason light_environment is not working. the map is fully lit with no shading when i run it.

does anyone have any advice on how i could fix it or what might be going wrong?

have you checked in game that you have mat_fullbright 0 ??

For some reason it looks like vrad is just suddenly dying on you while it’s building the lighting, and I can’t really tell why. So I’d suggest looking into that first.
