light_environment, rp_evocity2_v2p and day/night


i just have 2 questions.

1: is it possible to create light_environment entities with lua? or do they have to be baked into the map?

2: rp_evocity2_v2p has no light_environment, so i cant change the lighting in it (hence the first question), so im wondering if a day/night setup is possible on rp_evocity2_v2p

  1. No, light is made using “lightmaps” which are compiled with vrad (hammer), there is dynamic light but they cost quite a lot, and I’m pretty sure you can’t use them for something as big as the environment light.
