[Linux] Can't launch game through Steam

Hi,

I’m getting this screen http://i.imgur.com/UZx0Xa0.png when I try and launch the game after purchasing through Steam.

Is there something I need to do to get it to work?

Can you run with -logFile debug.txt and then paste the debug.txt after running it?

start your steam through the terminal and launch then. check whats going on.
or provide your logs from ~/.config/unity3d/Facepunch Studios/PlayRust/Player.log

just saying it doesnt work doesnt really help

Got a 9hr session in before this update hit and now I’m running into the same problem. I’m using Xubuntu 13.10.
Any other game and I would be happy waiting for this to be resolved but when it comes to Rust all I can think about is someone raiding my little shed and leaving me in ruin lol xD

and while it seems like the rest of the issues are at least appearing to be solved, us, linux users are being left on our own…

SO maybe instead of whining and moaning about bad first impressions of a game that is still in development on a platform that isn’t exactly the #1 priority, you could assist in the bughunting by posting your logs and your debug.txt?

back off dude, all I said an answer would be nice, so wed know something is being done about it. Its not a small bug that a tree isnt appearing or whatever, the game wont run for a whole platform and we payed the same money as the win users.

Actually, you first complained of a bad first impression, and then complained that linux users were getting left on their own, except both of your posts happened after a Developer personally said that they were looking into it.
