Looking for a good dedicated server provider.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good dedicated server provider that won’t break my wallet?

Looking for any dual/quad core with at least 2GB of RAM, and at least 100Mbit link.

Thanks for any help in advance!

[BB] Servers has all of that, at $1 a slot with lots of features.

Cool, thanks. Actually I am looking for a dedicated server, as in a remote box I can connect to and host whatever I want. Not a dedicated game server.

Ooh, OK, then I’d recommend Limestone networks, they have competitive monthly rates for high-end machines.

Go on WebHostingTalk.com (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=36). There’s a lot of great deals you can find there.

Take a look at these: http://www.nocster.net/sale.shtml?c=89&k=1145

Awesome, thanks guys! Anyone else that has a good host feel free to let me know!

Correction, I love you guys. Thank you so much!

We use them, the price varies on what you want. For example, we have the i7 4T with 1Gbps switchport and 3TB bandwidth, costs £115/m. We previously used the Q-1T on 100mbps, with 2TB bandwidth - which cost around £50.

Support isn’t great, but the boxes are good quality. Though, I would not recommend an i7 unless you are hoping to host 8 servers. Hyperthreading absolutely kills scrds - caps out at 34 players on one thread, meaning you can have 8 servers with 30 players each, but can’t have more on each instance. The Q-1T managed 60 players on one server, with 40 more players spread across our other servers without capping out.

www.Limestonenetworks.com the best of the best. There support is amazing.
Here’s my setup

link to the server box.

This man is wise.

Here is an actual support ticket I posted on Rockware which is there support cms. Note the time.

This was a ticket from a box I used. I since then downgrade save some cash :P.

Here’s the one I was using of course then it was like 169.99 now its more expensive.

Yes, their support is great considering the low prices.

KillerCreation.co.uk is a fantastic host. They’re VERY flexible with just about everything to do with the box. Once you get it you can do what you like. I sent them 2x 500GB HDDs to use with a PERC card and we also installed VMware ESXi on it.

KC are a little more expensive than most hosts, but the guys there are extremely helpful. They’re still a small company so you get the “personal” feel when looking for help. Also the hardware ranges from low-spec cheap to high-spec expensive. Whatever floats your boat :stuck_out_tongue:
