Looking for guidance for porting models for a noob.

So, I’ve looked around quite a bit on how to rip models and import them to 3ds max, worked like a charm. But, the thing I’d rather do is porting said models to either SFM or GMod, preferably SFM. I have texture, materials and meshes of models, I’ve got a three year license on 3ds max and blender installed. So, if anyone is willing to help a noob in the right direction, I’d be really happy!

What I am looking for is either someone thoroughly explaining how to port models or send some tutorials. I’ve pretty much got almost every tool to port them into Source’s engine, but the process however is a bit hard to grip onto for me.
