is this a correct usage of the keydown command.

if(LocalPlayer():KeyDown(IN_JUMP)) then

It’s correct. But since you’re doing it clientside (LocalPlayer()),there’s an alternative which may be faster.

if( CLIENT ) then
    if( input.IsKeyDown( IN_JUMP ) ) then

The input library is only for KEY_ keys, not IN_KEYS.

what would be the alternative?
