Making a model for Source Filmmaker

So, having downloaded some raw models from Halo 5, I’ve decided to make my Halo 5 Spartan in Blender and rig it myself for SFM. However, I know nothing about modelling or stuff like that.

I’m hoping to learn a few things about making stuff for SFM from this thread, such as:

  • Meshing .OBJ models together in Blender.

  • Precise re-texturing in Photoshop (I plan to have a secondary color)

  • Applying materials to the mesh

  • Getting the model set for use in Source Filmmaker.

I’ve always wanted to use my own content in games, but I’ve always held it off for some reason. Any help that comes from this will be appreciated.
