I want to make it so the Combine Camera NPC acts like nothing is going on and keeps scanning with the normal green light even when a player is nearby, unless the player is in, say, a table of certain players, which if the player gets close the camera will use its normal behavior; turn yellow at medium distance, then turn red and do the picture-taking animation if the player gets too close. How can I do this?
Well one way I think off is creating a lua filter SENT and apply that to the npc_combine_camera.
or code a fully custom entity using the model.
So it’s not easily possible? What about relationships?
There are functions to set relationships, use the wiki
Just tested, they don’t seem to affect combine cameras. Not D_HT, not D_LK, nor D_NU.
