map lighting issue

I’m trying to edit rp_downtown_V2 to take a few things out but once i play it and render it into gmod it seems very dark can anyone help? also some of the textures seem to be missing like i can see through the map in some areas

Did you decompile the BSP?

yes i downloaded the map converted to vmf edited the map then ran it converted back to bsd but the lighting is really dark is there a setting in hammer to fix it

Using this custom vbsp to fix the model errors the link is the 3rd but last post http://forum.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1413597, If you can change the displacements to power of 3 instead of power of 4

check the light entities and change the ones that have those settings making the light drop off, that should make it lighter :slight_smile:
