Map loading problem

I have a problem while loading a map. The map compiles fully but whenever i try to play the map the game crashes and a error saying, “Bad surface extents on texture concrete/concretefloor020a_c17”. Does anybody know what causes this error or know how to fix it?

You have to run vis and rad. Recompile with them on normal.

when i try that hammer freezes up.

That means its working.

If its taking to long, don’t close it its doing its job. But you might want to look at;

did that, and now it compiles and the map loads in but before i can play it crashed and says, “MaterialSystem_Interface_t::AllocateLightmap: lightmap (516x25) too big to fit in page (512x256)”

You have a leak.

Also for your lightmap error. Raise the lightmap scale on faces that aren’t going to have a lot of shadow detail (stairs, walls, ect…)
