Mesh streching issues

Hi there. Can anyone suggest anything for stopping this

Note I cant add edge loops here because this happens:

Start with a cylinder that has more sides.

I thought using a low poly cylinder and then working on that adding edge loops would sort this out? Isnt it generally a bad idea to start with high poly objects?

yeah but you still need enough edges to support the shape you want to make[/t]

Just don’t go crazy making 128 sided cylinders unless if you can really justify it
