Model appears inflated in-game and in HLMV

Recently, I have made a model with a couple bones, but when it’s animated with a sequence SMD, the skinned joints appear inflated, while the bones retain their original size. This is not the case when compiling it as a single reference SMD.
Any ideas?

How about some images of how it looks in your modeling program versus the HLMV, so we can better assess the problem?

I have some ideas of what your problem may be, but I’d like to visually see the problem before I blindly blabber on about something that may not even be relevant.

Alright, fixed.
Turns out, the model was twice its actual size in Keyframe 0.
That’s fixed now.
