Being able to pose in Gmod is awesome, but it can sometimes get frustrating when you are trying to get that perfect pose and you cannot properly manipulate the appendage to get that particular pose. When trying to pose a WWII firefight, just trying to get the ragdolls to hold the weapons correctly and look natural is a hassle in itself and wastes time and patience, There needs to be some way to make tiny adjustments to a selected appendage.

This isn’t specifically a problem with Gmod, It’s just really hard to get collision maps to allow objects to appear to be directly touching the appendage, and most models skeletons aren’t very complicated.
