Morrowind Sweps

This thread is dedicated to my swep packs that I am making with Doug Tyrell’s knife swep base.
I was just going to add this under the model section till I decided that would not really be right though that is where the majority of the work went.

I am dedicating myself to making these quality sweps I intend to import the weapons of morrowind to the fullest extent.

Features: Morrowind Ported Custom Spawn Icon, Morrowind Ported Custom Sounds , Custom Animations, and Proper w_models.

Here is my first swep release. I will then release them in packs including the various weapons of morrowind.

This installment in my series of morrowind sweps specifically focuses on Katanas Tantos and Dai-Katanas. This is a relatively small pack containing only about eight swords but it does contain the Dai-Katanas which are the longest swords in morrowind. They are pretty badass and generally awesome. To see what I mean, watch the end of the video I uploaded the Dai-Katanas are nearly as long as the player. But other than that there is not much to say.

This is the next installment of my Morrowind Swep Packs this one includes the nine staffs featured in Morrowind and it is not particularly awesome. Each swep includes custom icons and sounds as is usual. The damage and length at which each swep hits is still default and will be changed when the final pack is released which will include all sweps. It should be generally rediculous but may be a little while longer considering all which I have to release still. Thanks for watching, Don’t forget to tell you’re friends! >.>

Next installment in my Morrowind Swep Packs is released this pack includes six sweps all featuring custom animations by myself and each also has icons and sounds directly from Morrowind. This perticular pack contains all the broadswords and sabers from Morrowind. They are all one handed quite fast as all my weapons are, but the damage is still default, this will change in the final release, you have probably read me saying this before >.<. The next installment in my series of morrowind sweps has been released. This pack is focusing on the one handed blunt weapons club and maces. This swep pack contains thirteen sweps all are working properly. Each swep features custom sounds custom animations for each swep proper world models and spawn icons directly from the morrowind video game.

I am very excited to release my re-vamped pack of… Bow Sweps V.2! There are numerous ammounts of changes in this version of my Bow Sweps. This version features completely new and Morrowind Styled bow animations which are somewhat vertical and somewhat horizontal, sure to please all. Also the world and view models textures are all fixed and there is even a new bow included! The Bow of Shadows which was accidentally let out from the last version. As the previous version did, this one features only one arrow type unfortunately but thusly all the bows ammo is interchangable since they all use steel arrows.

Also, About the name change… Appearantly even though I was the first one with this name on Garrysmod.org they bumped me to this name - Hellsing(3) which is rather frustrating.

This is the next installment in my Morrowind swep pack series. This pack contains six longswords from Morrowind. Each one as usual contains custom sounds custom animations and also custom icons directly from the Mainland.

This is my next installment of my Morrowind Swep Packs. They have the highest quality production values I can put forward in that each animation is custom, every last one of these ten sweps has there own set of attack animations and draws and such that are all uniquely made to the model, no generic crossbow replacement here. I have committed myself to quality in making these sweps and will not finish till I am done.

I do not plan on making this into an FPS or GAME BANANA skin, so go ahead and state here if you want to do it, WHEN you get my permission you may do it you may need to re/un-rig the bones in the world model though but aslong as you know how to do that and don’t butcher it + give proper credit with my permission you may do so.

Never played Morrowind, but I assume it has a wide range of weaponry just like TES4 Oblivion. If that’s the case, will all the weapons be ported?

To answer the first post, Morrowind has more weapons than oblivion and I will try to port as many as I can so there ya go.
Secondly, That would be a cool feature but who would want to level every time? Then again they are not really going to be used much because of how morrowind models look… Hmmm…

BTW - Just by going to wikipedia and counting the BASE weapons Oblivion has :76 and Morrowind Has :112 The base are the only that will be ported and because there are so many I do not see any realistic way to import all though I will die trying.

B.T.W - Adding mad cows throwing instead of doug tyrells made the throwing feature 100 times better. And less buggy.

Oh shit, that means throwing them pretty much instantly kill anything, right?

Funny you say that… The killing power is actually decreased, If you threw a knife at somebody with doug tyrells and had the gib mod they would explode completely, now if you throw a knife at somebody and have gib mod they dont explode, they still insta kill though.

Anyone having problems with black and purple textures, I have seen 2 posts on my g-mod download talking about it.

Ive got missing textures on all the hands in this pack.

I am working on a fix right now, I dont know how noone ever posted they had missing hands.

Edit:Besides like 3 people.

Extremely simple fix.

I accidentally made the path wrong for my hands.

That fixed it, thanks. Also when I throw the knives into a wall and pick them back up I don’t regain the ammo.

I was able to fix it by renaming the lines in “if activator:GetWeapon” and “activator:Give” in each entities init.lua to the correct swep names, they were all set as “mad_morrowind_chitin_dagger”.

Interesting. It would be nice if you slowed down the draw animation a bit, maybe halved it, but I do like the attack animations on these axes. Good work with these.
That being said, you don’t need all of those lua files. I’ll shoot you something momentarily.

Do you by any chance plan to port and animate the bows from Morrowind as well?

After a little bit of editing I decided I most certainly will be planning on making the bows and crossbows of morrowind.

I could most certainly use a nice lua script if that is what you are proposing.

Now this is originality, porting AND animating the guns. Fantastic job.

Other than that, The swep is pretty easy to use and features a nice charge bar and zoom function. If you hold left click down the bar will charge at any point you can release it, if you hold it down to long it will automatically release itself. You forgot to mention that arrows will stick into NPCs, players, and walls. :v:

I really like it would would it be possible to have a version were you hold it not on it’s side because I am very sure you don’t hold it that way in real life. Still epic love it.
