Muting Breencasts

Is there any way to mute the Breencast in the d1_trainstation_02 map of HL2 without disabling the AI?

Go into the skybox and delete breen. Or you could just wait, he seems to shut up after a while with me.

yah the best thing to do is to get rid of him from the skybox (although if you are going to use the screens in whatever your doing you should also delete those) or you could always replace it with g-man.

This thread reminded me of a video I have that I uploaded ages ago.

Anyways, yeah, you have to find the breencast room by noclipping, than remove Breen. Or if you’re doing it outside of Gmod, do what I did.

?Use the noclip and go kill him, or use the removed on him.

Or you could be fancy and use Lua.

I just typed that on a whim, so it probably won’t work. Tell me if it works.

Depending on how they work, you could just type “stopsounds” in console, that is if it’s a loop playing, not just starting up at an interval.

I think that would only stop the sentence or so he’s saying, as his speeches are cut up into about 12 different sound files.
